Hi to all,
ok i have a 2.5 n/a 110, been doing a few miles this week with work, about 100 aday. SO going over M62 pulled in to service's for a break and as i slowed oil warning light came on sort of flickering, checked oil level it fine. Set off all ok but when ideling it flickered on again. On way home same thing but then came a loud (how can i descibe it) ticking noise still pulled ok hard to say where it was coming from. Anyway got home left it an hour now no noise.
Sorry to go on wanted to give all the facts though.
any advise would be appreiciated thanks Brownie

best case is that the oil sender unit is duff. lets hope so?
and when did u last change the oil filter?

worst case is that the engine has low oil pressure and will prob need a strip down and rebuild.
good luck.

if money is tight, i suppose you can always try a new oil pump, sometimes does work. but it rarely works for very long.
the damage has usually been done already.

If you take a look at the vehicles for sale saction (not the tender section) they have a load of 2.5 na motors for immediate delivery at £250. Got loads of Sankey trailers as well ;)

Hi, If you stuck for a engine. Got a N/A recon military unit which has covered around 1000miles since fitting. Will be coming out soon for V8 conversion so Its going spare. Open to sensible offers but they do need to be sensible.
