Hello, I'm putting my landrover up for sale soon and am after some advice on how much people think i should put it up / expect for it.

Its a 1989 Landrover 110 3.5L V8 CSW

The landrover has had 6 former keepers before us in 2003.

It passed the MOT this year and expires 03/04/07

Over the last 2 years we have spent well over £4.5k to get / keep her in good condition. I have receipts for all this work, and it has either been carried out by ourselves or landrover specialists.

Recent works:
Had a new clutch master cylinder and full set of door seals fitted in January.
New head gasket fitted in November 2005, head was also skimmed.
New exhaust fitted in 2004.

The landrover has the following fitted:
- BFG AT's on Silver Modular rims
- Raised Suspension
- Full roof rack
- A Bar
- 2x Circular WIPAC Driving lamps
- 4x Spot lights
- Work lamp at rear
- Recently fitted cubby box
- CD / Radio
- Chequer plate protection on bonnet, side and back of the landrover.
- Clear lenses
- Halogen head lights (not road legal, set of standard lr headlights can be provided if need be)
- Just hit 80,000 miles on the clock.
- Tax until end of 07/06

Thats about it really, any ideas of value appreciated.

Oh, there is not cherished Number plate which should make alot of people happy :D

Im thinking its worth around £4 - £4.5k, but that may be too much what do you think?

Surprisingly it didn't bother me too much, its all in the past, at least i have had allot of fun out of it, and cant wait for the next one, don't really want to let it go, but as its classed as a minibus and not legal for me to drive it, so there is not much point of keeping it :( .

NEVER try to add-up all your bills. You'll just end-up crying... :(
Oh so true Gareth, I've got bills for literally thousands with my old bus. Admittedly 50% of these were at the previous owners expense. It's money that can't be scrimmed back unfortunately when the Landy is sold on.

Regards WP.

I have thought about that, but i have decided that i will sell it and look for a 90, or maybe a discovery. I have always preferred 90s, but my dad gave the 110 to me as a birthday present, its been a great landy, but now its time for change.

Shame you got to sell it mate. (I'm with GC on this one and just whip a couple of seats out)

£4k - £4.5k would be a fair price for it but I would be tempted to remove some of the toys and sell them on their own.

When I got my Discovery from somebody on ebay I removed the roof rack and rear ladder and sold them through my local free ad's paper! (Paid for the immobiliser I needed to bring the insurance down a touch!)

If you end up getting a 90 or Disco then you'll have half the kit straight away instead of selling it at a lose on the 110 and end up buying it all again.

Have a browse down at the local Land Rover dealer and see what they've got on offer, see if they'll sell it on your behalf (commission based). Stick it in the Local Free-Ads for the top price you want and wait for feed back or stick it on ebay with a reserve price.

Good luck bud.

Cheers for the reply,

I have been thinking, and decided to stick it on a couple of sites at £4.5k and see what feedback i get (if any) if i don't get anything back in the near future or people saying its too expensive, i will take the rear bench seats out and keep it.
This way i cant loose really.

Scott.

Well the parts that i could remove are not really worth that much, just clear lenses and bulbs that i can remove,
Also i have a mate who works for a landrover specialist, they also sell parts / accessories so i get quite a good discount;) .
Also i have a full wrap around bullbar given to me for free just sitting in the garden (dad is getting a bit annoyed with it just sitting there now :D.

Scott.

Hello,

I have just looked in my V5, and under the section " number of seats" it is blank, therefore would i get away with leaving all 11 seats in without getting in trouble? and just say "it didn't say how many seats in the V5, so i didn't know how many seats there are in the landrover"

Scott
