You will be pleased to hear buying the first one you look at worked this time. Car got a clean bill of health apart from washer jets, a few bushes a couple of small leaks and the fwd selector needs freeing up.
PS why so many adverts on this forum?
I generally use my pc with chrome and adblocker, never get any pop ups.

First things first chassis is being treated, egr deleted, full service with performance filters etc etc.
New SS sports exhaust, recommendations welcome.
New progressive springs with front and rear anti roll bars (currently none fitted) your views?
Cheers

Honestly mate, don’t bother with any of that. Save your money for the mechanicals as an when they need doing. There will be issues you don’t know about yet, sorting them is part of the fun, but harder if you’ve spent all ya cash on shiny add ons.

No need for performance air filters, just use either genuine or OEM filters throughout. Use decent oil too. If the existing exhaust is ok, no need to change it until it needs doing. Best to keep some funds in reserve for the inevitable issues arise.

Ok going to take some advice to begin with and delay doing the upgrades but two items that definitely need doing is wheels and ICE.
Not going to change the wheels as I want to keep it looking as original as I can, I will get them refurbed but I do need to buy a new spare and it’s been suggested I get an independent swing away carrier. They all look pretty much the same so will just go ahead and buy one.
On the other hand ICE seems like a mine field, first question is would buying used be a false economy? What would you fit, I’m thinking Alpine BT head unit. A slimline sub and speakers to match. Not going to the expense of a double din and no need for a CD player as all music is on her phone.

Swing away wheel carrier is a good idea. It takes the weight off of the rear door hinges and stops the door flexing and breaking. I’ve got a Mantec one in my garage waiting to be fitted to my 90. Mantec are no longer going so you’ll probably have to get a used one unless you’re lucky to find a new one. The ORE one is good but not cheap.
