towed with a 300tdi disco (good) towed with the td5 (great but less feed back) towed with d3 fookin excellant ( no feed back at all) I have a 17 foot avondale but towed it with 4 bikes and enough clothes and **** for six of us. Will say put my foot down to wife trying to take ironing board away. If i ever get weighed when going away i will be well screwed.

Just done 300 miles today with 3.5 tonne on, in our disco 3 and at the end I could have driven another 300, could barely tell the trailer was there stability wise and plenty of power, if I'd have done this in a defender I'd be deaf, tired and would have used more fuel.

For me doing thousands of miles a year with a heavy trailer it's a no brainier

+1 it's the feed back i was unsettled with like nothing ther that's what frightened me

We had hundreds of smaller fish removed from the lakes by a firm that used a Disco 3 for pulling the ifor laden with what I would of thought would be over 2 tonne in just water contained within the tanks...

I got chatting to the driver who had used jap 4x4's in the past before buying the D3, and he raved about it. He reckoned it wasn't just the manners on the road that were great (said he hardly noticed the trailer), but where the Warrior (IIRC) would get stuck as soon as it went off road (towing), the D3 wouldn't blink.

He was a walking advert for it!
