Alreet, I have recently bought a Land rover as I have always wanted one but I kinda jumped in before thinking about it properly. She has a lot of character and altho I know nowt about motors I want to learn and fix her myself. This is were I kinda stumble.... Where the hell should I start?? I can see certain things that needs doing but all in all I dont have a clue... can anyone offer advice on where to start or where to take it to get looked at so I can find out? Thanks in advance

Do what you need to do to get it through any MOT it may need and keep it on the road. Once its a reliable runner do the rest of the work as and when budget and time allows.

If its a 2.5 petrol, best to start by through that thirsty piece of junk in the skip and get yourself ether a doozle or a V8, V8's are better on juice than the 2.5 (Well the one I used to borrow was worse on fuel that my mates V8 that was for sure!) and sound great, if your planning on taking it swimming go for a doozle, plenty of 300tdi lumps around.
