Advice please or anyone in West London that can help?

Hi there,
Is there anyone in or near West London, Harrow/Watford/heathrow type area that could offer some help. I have a few things i need to fix on my car, and i have tried a few localish LR specialists, they all seem to booked up till after the holidays.

What i need help with is:
I have a few things i need to fix on my P38.
1, The bonnet latch catch, drivers side, bought another one from Emmots, great service btw, I can’t seem to fit it. Have taken off the front grill, and the panel that is on top of the engine bay that runs across the front of the bonnet. I still can’t seem to get take the latch out, and unplug the sensor. Do i need to remove the headlight.
2, My side lights aren’t working, checked fuse and bulbs, had second hand ones fitted last year some time, from the west midlands, not sure if they have been working since.
3, I changed the bulbs on the speedo instrument panel and damaged the clip to get the plastic surround back in, can this be fixed.
4, Need to change my driver’s side windows regulator, is this easy or relatively uncomplicated to do

can anyone recommend a good and cheap independent dealer that could take a look at these for me. Alternatively as I am not very good at mechanical minded but am more than happy to get my hands dirty and try a few times. if someone can help me, and show me what I am doing wrong or need to do. I am more than happy to drive over to you. I am based in west London, and drive a 2.5 dhse.

Any advice tips greatly received and appreciated.

Long time since I done one of these but as I recall (Ex Windscreen Fitter).

Remove the door card and drill out the pop rivets. Make sure you have new for replacement.
Remove the clips from door glass to regulator
remove regulator and motor
Refit new regulator and re-assemble, with as I say new rivets.

Hope it helps and good luck with it.

Maybe an idea to try and obtain the Rave manual, they are around if you look?

If you don't have acess to the big rivets needed, you can use bolts, M4 I think from memory.

Just a quick add on for you.

Try and change the subject of your thread.
If no one is in West London they may well not view your problems.
I used to Live in Northolt, Thats the only reason I looked.

Am not sure if I am brave enough too take a drill to the door for the drivets, drills don't like me.

Sawyers (or sayers) in Staines/Ashford on the A30 by Ashford hospital, have been mentioned on here before with good reports....

Venture further out and there is Rangers of Guildford on the Slyfield Industrial Estate are fecking good guys....

Evoeng. I havent taken it yet. TBH, they arent LR/RR specialists are they. Thats why i have been a little hesitant. if you have had done work there, do you recommend them. My car may be a little old a little tatty but i want to treat it well, lol
