Advice on heater Matrix

Hi all. I have had a search through previous postings and cant see the answer, so am hoping one of you can help. I have a 1990 v8 3.5, the heater matrix died and has very successfully flooded the inside which I am now drying out. I managed the quick fix behind the block and all is OK with the engine. Now I intend to get the matrix replaced as I do prefer the car with a heater. I know its a lovely job! However in trying to keep costs down I noticed on ebay several heater units + matrix for a good price. My question is: are all 200 series disco heater units and matrix the same, the ones on ebay are all from similar age disco's but from 200TDI's. I dont want to strip it all down and find it wont fit! Any thoughts would be welcome.

Try these guys Aaron Radiator Co. Ltd. Suppliers and Manufacturers of Car Radiators.

I bought the matrix for my 300 Tdi from them via ebay. It seemed to be good quailty and was half the price that my local LR specialist could source one for. As far as I can remember the Tdi and V8 units are the same with a change in design from '95 on....

Yes, lack of time meant I got my local specialist to do the job. I dropped it off in the morning and it wasn't ready until the next day........... not cheap!
