Advice on A bar on disco 2

Hi, can anyone tell me if ...The A bar on the disco 2 face lift model will fit the Disco 2 pre face lift?

This is mine...

I recommended it on other UK forum and one guy told me that some LR dealers said that there are no chance to fit. Just look on the picture.

so it can be done.....is there much modification i need to do to get it to fit?
