The easiest bit you'll be able to look at will be plugged into the ECU, it's a red connector block if memory serves - if it's oily then it's faulty. The business end of the loom is in the top of the engine, where the injectors are, at the radiator end of the cylinder head, is an electrical socket that will pull out from the cam cover, same as before if it's oily then it's faulty
