advice and info on mazda 3.5 slti

got a 130 with a mazda wont start unless towed but as you get towed you have to turn key at same time then it will start
is there some sort of feed i can give the stop solinoid power all the time any manuels going about ???

It’s a stop lever on the injection pump, which is usually actuated by a 3-wire solenoid. The standard wiring for these is that the ‘trigger’ wire is fed off the starter motor relay exciter wire and the ‘hold’ wire off the ignition switch. If you disconnect the cable from the injection pump lever then it’ll start without the key, but you also won’t be able to stop it on the key.

Check the solenoid is working correctly when the starter motor is used.

This explains a Range Rover I had with an on off rally switch and a push button starter,

thanks i thought exactly that and understood it would not stop therfore could i just push the solinoid in and tie off would that work tio start ??
 
If you manually actuate the solenoid and tie it off then it’ll start, but there’s no need as the lever on the injection pump sits in the ‘run’ position naturally. So just disconnect the solenoid.

You’d then have to manually pull the lever to stop it. You could fit a stop cable like an old tractor or lorry.
