Adrian flux renewing insurance automatically

I recieved a letter from flux's stating they were gonna auto renew my policy on the 12/6/12.
I thought the renewal was to high so emailed them on the 30/5/12 telling them not to renew as i was getting other quotes, i recieve an acknowledgement email back,

guess what happened next, i check my online banking today and they've gone ahead with the renewal without my consent,

so what do i do now!

But ther shouldne be an issue if you have written proof that you told them not to renew, it's there error

Contact your bank and report an unauthorised transaction. Bank will (should) recover the money for you. Take copies of the emails to the bank.

im waiting for our forum sponser man, i believe he is called Dan to read it, regarding the bank Joe, it has to be the company who receive the standing order who have to cancel it

I had similar problem with some scamming discount shopping channel. That added me after I bought train tickets online. Didn't realise they took £12per month membership fee? from my bank account. Went mad with them and the bank and got the bank to cancel the standing order they'd set up and got full refund. of the 4months money they'd taken..

yeah you got your money back cos you didnt give permission for them to take the funds , but its upto AF to cancel this, but it'll mean im gonna have to pay for insurance twice until refunded

Good luck ****ers told me they didn't do refunds, Until I kicked off in here..

It is if you haven't entered into a contract with Flux to supply you with insurance. The policy is null and void unless you agree to the terms of their contract and you have a cooling off cancellation period under distance selling rules. 2 or 3 weeks IIRC..

i'll have to wait till they come in here

I have my own insurance that covers me and the missus for social domestic and pleasure and also business use for each of our occupations (except for use in the motor trade..... WTF???? Funnily enough I work in the motor trade) and my landy is on the company insurance for when I use it for work.

mine is only used for social, domestic, and pleasure,wtf!
