ln new condition, briefly fitted to the missus's 300TDi before it was sold and has sat in the garage ever since.

Made a noticeable difference to noise levels on our 300TDi

How does it fit and will it be okay on a 200tdu or will i catch fire or something

Hi there

No it's fireproof, it's a NK one although it does say don't let it rest directly on the turbo.
It can be cut to avoid certain parts, if needed. Have a look on the NK website.

lt sits on top of the engine and has eyelets that can be used to secure it. l used a couple of bungee cords to stop it from moving about, the difference in noise levels was quite significant.

I would say that the lower the spec (and less soundproofing) in your Land Rover, the more difference it will make.
We tried it on my friends ex military soft top 300tdi and it made a difference of about 5db in the cab.
At the time l was using it on our 300tdi so he bought one and it's still fitted to his, says it was the single best thing he did to it!

lt's particularly noticeable when the vent flaps are open in Summer.
