isn't it great owning a Discovery!!!!!

when turning right sharply the ACE W/light starts flashing red and bonging,
this goes on for about a miniute then the light stays on static.

when the engine is turned off and back on the W/light cylces as it should then stays off..

Hawkeye read the following faults:-

DCT 10
no road speed signal recieved

DCT 18
closed loop pressure not under control

DCT 21
pressure signal stuck at a value

DCT 33
direction control valve fault

DCT 36
the latest page of data was corrupt at the last power up,

DCT 41
the system pressure has been below a threashold for a
??
pressure has been demanded.

any idea what could be up???

and i don't want to remove the ACE system, just want the car to work as it should..

U will withdraw your offer when i'll tell u that IMO it seems the valve block is kaput:(... u can buy a brewery for the price of a new one... even the second hand ones are quite expensive. The second possibility is that the pump doesnt give enough pressure but i dunno how could u measure that. The third choice is a faulty ACE ECU, this is the easyest(and cheaper) one if u can get hold of a known good one and swap it. The only thing u can try is to check the plugs and wiring at the solenoids and the pressure transducer, take out the filter from the bottom and clean it then run a bleeding procedure via tester. If you decide to go for a used part u will need one of this for each pipe to fit into the valve block otherwise it will leak there LAND ROVER DISCOVERY 2 ACE VALVE BLOCK PIPE INSERT SEAL | eBay

If no joy and u dont have a gold mine in your back yard IMO it's time to see the threads about the conversion to classic ARB's....sorry, i cant help u more on this

oh bugger!! :frusty:

thinks its time to take the bloody thing back to the seller and get my money back!!!!

many thanks again

U can test your luck and check the plug at the ACE ECU(behind the glovebox)...it's quite common to be water ingress un that area.... just remembered... though the affected one used to be the BCU
