Evening, 03 TD5 ES auto and I've joined the ACE problem club, with a few added extras...

Battery warning light stays on once running and the red flashing ACE light joins it shortly after. Couple of minutes after idling the engine then starts to labour, sounding close to cutting out with a rocking motion (misfire?).

Foxwell is reading a pressure control valve fault and hydraulic pressure too low, no turbulence in the ACE tank. This is a few days and 30 miles after using the disco to jump start a flat battery, not sure if this is a coincidence/two separate issues/red herring.

Any steer (no pun intended!) would be appreciated please.

Id say your ACE pump is likely knackered and you will want to check your alternator for output when the engine is running. Are you sure you have still got a drive belt?
Well I'm glad you asked, I have a drive belt but it's not where it should be.. So paranoid about electrical gremlins I skipped looking at the mechanics, thanks for the reply
