Hi all, I picked up a couple of what I hope are filter(s) for the ACE valve block at Billing the other week as I haven't checked/cleaned it since I've owned it even though I've changed the rear ACE pipes (I know it only takes one but at £2.00 each, instead of £134.29, it was worth a punt;)). As you can see from the pics you can't quite see/make out all the p/no. So from the pic with the vernier on the filter can anyone tell me if they look right ? The LR p/list gives p/no RVJ100010 & describes it as nut & filter assy. There's no nut(s) in the bag(s) just o-rings (the bags are sealed/unopened). I had a quick go at removing the filter but the 'nut'/ plug was bloody tight so before I go hammer & tong at it do the filter(s) look right? Many thanks in advance.

Hi, that's definitely ACE filter
The LR p/list gives p/no RVJ100010 & describes it as nut & filter assy
IMO in this particular case there is some mistake in the jaguarlandroverclassic p/n list as the price they give(£134.29) is unreal as well, the plug is RYB500010 which doesnt appear in that list while it's listed for RRS 05-13 which has the same ACE block
is there any chance of the nut/cap part breaking off leaving the thread part in the block ?
I've heard cases when the hex side got rounded but never that it broke.... though depends on your dose of bad luck too... use a freeze and release spray before you attack it

Thanks, I'll get some of that spray. I've got snap on 6 sided flank drive sockets, which I use on fasteners that won't undo like they should or the hex is corroded.
Yeah the LR price for that filter is surely a mistake, or bonkers if it's correct.
I'll order a plug just in case before I try to remove the old one.
