Hello All,
I have just become the proud owner of a '97 Discovery 300Tdi! It's my first Land Rover and I have one niggly little problem that I hope someone can help me with - the Cigar Lighter is not receiving any power - not major I know, but it just keeps nagging me now!
I have just spent a happy couple of hours tracing the supply from the 'accessory relay' (behind the passenger footwell side panel) to the main fuse block in the drivers footwell. There's a light green/white wire that runs out of the fuse block and then runs up into the main wiring loom and appears to run back over the centre tunnel (this wire is powered with the ignition on and all tests ok until it disapperas round the back of the centre console/tunnel).
The wire from the Cigar lighter itself (also light green and white) drops out of the centre console into a moulded channel in the drivers's footwell and also seem to run left back over the tunnel towards the passenger footwell. It never receives power.
Looking at the Haynes wiring diagram, the light green/white wire from the fuse box goes straight to the Cigar lighter and I expected it to be routed directly, but appears that this feed wire and the wire from the lighter itself routes over to the passenger footwell somewhere, but I can't see either of them. Somewhere between them disappearing over the tunnel I expect them to come together (or not in my case!).
Can anyone point me in the direction of where these wires get routed once they disappear into the main loom from the drivers footwell?
Thanks for any advice.
