Hi all, just wondering if anyone could help with a problem I have. My accelerator is not working but the engine is still running. I have taken it to the garage (here in France) and they thought it might be the engine management computer that needed new connections because I live in in a damp climate. Still not working. £350 down and still the same problem. Unfortunately we don't have as many Landy specialists here in France, hence I am looking for help. It's a 1999 TD5. Any help would be much appreciated.

Welcome.

I feckin hate know nothing mechanics, they "thought"? W4nkers! Charged you money for something they had no idea whether it would fix it or not, cnuts!

Most likely you need a real proper code reader to find out what is going on with the computer and it's resident component pieces that it talks to.

Sounds like the fly by wire throttle potentiometer, but that's an educated guess.

Look down at the throttle pedal and see the little box on the pedal with an electrical plug, look at that and see what you find.
