Hello all,
After years of distant admiring i finally picked up my first ever landy yesterday - it's a 1986 90 which came with the following already done to it

wax oiled underbody
new Head gasket
replaced front springs
New Monroe gas shockers
replaced power steering pump
replaced starter motor
new steering bars
New prop shaft

I know pretty much naff all about cars / engines etc and have previously always had pretty new cars. Can anybody give me some tips about basic maintenance checks I should be doing to keep my landy ticking along.
Thanks and i'll apologise now for the amount of asking i'll be doing on this.

Mate, welcome to the fun and games of owning a landy!

Sounds like me when I got my first one, and I'm not much better now! But they're great to learn about engines and other systems on because they're relatively simple. And putting a rough location up means if you do ever have any problems, people are always willing to come lend a hand and help you learn. Thats what happened to me.

Welcome again, you're gonna love it.
