Hi Folks,
I've been having the odd ABS fault come up every now and again on
my '99 4.6hse. I replaced the accumulator as the pump seemed to
be running overly long during start up, I though this might have cured it.
Nope! I bled the brakes using the procedure in rave and it seemed to go
away for a little longer, then re appeared.
I figure now its one of the abs sensors, which leads to my question.
With out going to get the codes read as my nearest is by a main stealer
is there a way to test the sensors with a multimeter?
I.e. broken wire etc? If I tested across the connector with the meter would
any of the readings indicate a broken wire, failed sensor etc? I seem to
remember reading somewhere that a broken wire is a fairly common
failure point on these units.
Any help would be most gratefully received.
TIA
Drew
