the book says that when the ABS ring is removed for any reason, such as new brake discs like wot I am doing, then the ring retaining nuts MUST be replaced with new ones........
........why is this?

I cant believe NO ONE knows the answer to this.......or does everyone hate me as I so often fear?????

Normally if something has to be replaced on refit its cause of the likelyhood of damage on removal.

i.e. Uv joint/prop shaft nuts n bolts, gaskets etc.
Don't know specifically why for yer ABS ring retainin nuts, but suspect it's similiar specially since yer dunt want it to fall orf now du ya. ;)

UPDATE

just done N/S/R,appears they are M6 nyloks...but since most of them came out studwise,ie nut stayed put and shaft came out,I put some threadlock on the shafts and re assembled.
When Ive done ovver soide like,I shall tell 'ee.'Andsome!Be back der'eckly:D
