ABS light on

Recently my 1996 disco got stuck in park when the brake light switch failed, fitted a new switch and resolved that problem but now the abs light is on all the time. I read somewhere that the ABS ECU might need resetting could this be true and if so how do I do that?
 
i had this problem just got it sorted mine was the air gap on a wheel sensor but seems to be a common problem on the series 1 disco
