P38A ABS 'fault' when reverse selected

Hi All,

I've got a strange 'fault' that crops up from time to time. Ordinarily, selecting reverse causes no issues, but occasionally when I go from drive to reverse I get an audible warning and the dash displays "ABS FAULT".
When I restart the car the 'fault' has disappeared.
Any ideas what I might need to look for?

I'd check the sensor is pushed all the way into the bush and the wiring and connectors look good while you're about it.

These things are very sensitive tbh try seating the sensor. Have you recently had work done on an axle?

Hi, no work done on the vehicle. The prob has been around for a while but is only a nuisance as it clears everytime I restart
