About to buy my first Landy

So I'm about to bite the bullet... currently doing my research... and I'm sure I'll have a few questions along the way.

I've pretty much decided on a Td5, post '52 plate, van with 3 seats up front and probably add 1 forward facing in the rear at some point in the near future. Not after anything fancy, just clean and functional... in fact the more basic the better... no chequer plate, no alloys, no snorkel, ...

I'm currently looking at a 05 van but am struggling a little with the Parkers guide price of £7k vs the dealer's price of £12.5k... I know Defenders command a premium these days, but seriously!!!

I know, i know...

Why would you want 3 seats up front, not being funny but unless someone is only 3 foot tall, or less, where would they put their feet. When I'm driving mine, my left leg is up against the hand brake.

I'm short (5' 7) and the two other front seat occupants will be 8 and 6 years old... they don't need legroom... stick them in the back and there's no room for anything else

I don't know about td5's but my older tratter has only got a lap belt on the middle seat. Make sure you shop around and don't be afraid of travelling a fair bit to find the right one
