Yesterday I finally gave up the fight and traded in my Disco. The wife has been chirping for some time now that it is too unreliable and costs too much to run as I am travelling 400-500 miles per week. All because we moved and she now can't do without her car if I have an issue.

Sadly I had just replaced the radiator top hose with no new fault appearing so it was kind of a sign. Every other time I had worked on it there was something else crop up.

So now I have to get used to 'smart' lights, wipers and even an electric parking brake!! Why oh why did anyone ever think that was a good idea to abandon control for the sake of adding more technology?

Still, at least I got a really weird one, a Renault Koleos :D Hands up anyone who knew about them....no-one? Yeah, I didn't either as they are a perfect example of right car at the wrong time with only 3,000 sold in the UK in the four years they were available. Hopefully this is just a phase she is going through and I can get back to a Land Rover in a couple of years.
