Hello Everyone!!!

I've been sitting here thinking, and I was just wondering if someone could clear something up for me.

IF your dragging a RR/LR out of mud or a ditch or something, I understand the need to use recovery points, however:

2 recovery points front and rear.

Is it best practice to spread the load across both recovery points??????
If so, how would you do this??????
Are "check straps" used to catch the recovery straps/ropes in case of failures?????

Any input welcomed!!!

Steve

I have seen people do it but personally I don't because I have my own recovery points fitted and each one will more than take the weight on its own.
I have had one Landy pull on the front and the other pull slightly to stop me rolling when I got into a bad position.
I assume you mean attaching a rope between the points and then a rope onto the rope. The problem with that is it pulls the recovery points inwards too so they could bend and I've seen that happen. If you have to use both, the longer the rope between them, the less inwards force there would be.
