A recent Land Rover series convert

Hi, please can anyone tell me what this is? It is attached to the ignition coil and goes into the Zenith carb. Please can you let me know what it is? what it does? Do I need it? Many thanks, very best regards Mark

I have no idea! looks a bit like a sender for a gauge of some sort, do you have any extra gauges? [although I can only think of vacuum being read from there.....................]
Attached [wired?] to the coil? Landy never had LPG conversion did it? could be remnants. No doubt someone more knowledgeble than I will be along soon, good luck
