A re-introduction........

Hello,
Thought I'd re-introduce myself, as I previously registered when I was looking to buy a Landrover a couple of years ago.
Things didn't quite work out as I hoped and I had to put it on the proverbial back-burner for a while.............however, now a proud owner of a 1973 Series 3 swb Pick Up as of last weekend .

So thought I'd say hello again, as there is a load of questions just waiting to spill out.

Not a huge amount that I can see, the usual leaks and the gearchange was somewhat of a lottery - particularly 1st & reverse. New gearstick washer and reverse gate springs have sorted that though.
It has a strange frankenstein type throttle linkage affair that looks like it's been lashed together, but the carb I've not been able to identify yet. That's the next job. I'm sure more issues will raise their ugly head as time goes on!
