As always nothing is straight forward. Today, having recently fitted a new radiator to my 200tdi conversion 90 I decided it is now getting cold enough to warrant putting the thermostat
Back in and having some heat in the cab. I decided to change the coolant at the same time. Tested and installed the new thermometer and refilled the coolant system. Went for a drive and low and behold, the cab is baking hot and so is the bloody engine. Thermostat for some reason decide not to open. Cue the socket set coming out on the side of the road and the new thermostat getting cursed and put in the cab, sure enough the engine is cooling, the radiator is now hot and the cab is cold as a very cold thing. I think this winter I will be wearing thicker trousers and another jumper. What a pain in the cnut.
