I have a M reg Land Rover Discovery,300tdi. I Took it to TJC LANDROVERS (WEASENHAM, NORFOLK) because the
ABS light was coming on and staying on. They found the fault through
the diagnostic test eventually, and said they needed to replace a front
left hand-side sensor. THis would cost £300. They replaced the sensor
and told me the light was off. They had done what I asked - BUT now
the brakes don't work. They said they would show me where to
disconnect the work they had done so that the brakes would work. Still
wanting £300.
I went to see them, I I took it for a little drive,
braked - and the ABS light came on and stayed on! So now they haven't
even done what I asked. They now say their computer won't talk to my
on board computer? Does that mean they have broke that and they are
talking hundreds of pounds to fix that.
I've now had to pay them £268 to get my vehicle back - in a worse condition that it was when I took it there. Will have to fight to get my money back and take it somewhere else to get the work done and fix what ever damage they've done.
