As it says a post about a P38 thats works!! Got in it today after not using it since last sat night and it started straight away (V8). Was covered in ice and snow, put heated screens on and left it running for a few mins, put wipers on and all screens clear!! Went for a drive in the freshly falling snow and never put a wheel out of place, even over taking slower cars in the deeper snow going up hills, ( very wide roads only! )
When they work they work very well. :)

a positive post on a p38,mine was the same but it is the 2.5 diesel, passing slower vehicles where i could safely, and without ****ing other road users off,
they really do come into there own.

I got a 4l v8 too and starting to wonder where all the bad press has come from.....

Spose if you look after it and all that :D

I've got a 4.6 HSE, runs perfect, no complaints.
I look after it mind, the oil and filter is changed very 2 to 3000 miles.
I also flush the coolant through before the winter sets in and before the summer so twice a year.
It drives excellent and returns 18 - 20mpg!
I absolutely love it and will miss it when I upgrade to a new rangie next summer...

Hi mate i do the same with oil and filter, but what do you gain by replacing the coolant that often?

If you look after her she'll look after you!!!;););)
The best feeling in the world is the look of envy you get from other drivers especially in these weather conditions!!!:rolleyes::rolleyes:

on a v8 oil every 4-7k and flush and correct anti freeze every year.....lack of good cooling will kill a v8.

Ok fella, Ill do the coolant change when i do me oil in a couple of weeks.

Bought the RR about 3 weeks ago so not sure when it was last done, Saying that, whoever had it before me has kindly put a brand new rad on it :D

Their brill, especially this time of the year. Our 97 DSE never lets me down but is looked after pretty well. But a word of warning regarding rear heated screen, if its got lots of thick ice on it,scrape it first before turning screen heat on cos i've hear of a few blowing recently.
