Had a busy day, working on my Disco TD5.
First off, main job changed the front shocks. Brit Supergaz have taken the place of anonymous ones with knackered lower bushes. Job went well just needed a little help to wiggle the suspension turret past the Ace pipes on the passenger side.
So as there was plenty of day left I peeled off the two most badly aged wheel arch trims. I was surprised they are only stuck in place with double sided tape and with the aid of a hairdryer to soften the adhesive the old bits were soon off. More heat was used to clean of the remaining adhesive and then meths to clean up the area. The trims are easy to stick back on and line up well being original LR parts.
The for the finale I fitted a new seat heater element to the drivers seat. This was by far the toughest of todays jobs and I still had the seat on the bench when it was dark.

I removed the old element and it was clear to see where it had burnt out. Removing the hog rings was OK but getting them back with the cover wire was a real faff so I used zip ties which was much easier. Seat covering back on and seat re installed with the help of a torch and I now have a warm bottom.
All in all a satisfying day working on the Disco.
