A couple of quickies!!

Hi to everyone who knows me and also to those that dont.
Just a couple of quick questions this morning. I own a 1996 Disco.
1. Are the heater dials supposed to light up with the rest of the instrument panel?
2. Upon checking under the bonnet yesterday I noticed that one of my hoses is completely knackered. If looking under the bonnet its the hose that leads from under the drivers windsreen and ends up on the left hand side to some kind of air pump near to the offside front wing. (ok so you may have guessed that im not mechanically minded!) The hose is 1cm thick with about a half cm hole running through it. (Is this something to do with the cruise control??)
where do I get a replacement..I live in the middle of nowhere about 35 miles from the nearest scrap yard! Im not one for begging for parts but are there any good samaritans out there who are salvaging parts from an old disco.
3. Anyone got a F.O.S headlight unit thats in V good condition?? Mine has now got a large hole in it!!!

Sounds to me like it could be the vac pipe for your cruise control. I had the same problem on my 97 ES.

Cheers accywingy, thought it was the cruise control but just needed it verifying. dont suppose you know if the heater dials are supposed to illuminate do you.
