Topped up ma ac today as during hot days was not so efficient as normal,so this might help earthlings who feel brave enough ta d i y ,ok so bought this kit on e bay called castrol ez fill with gauge [they reckon could give three top ups] Slob kindly gave another product ,will give details later when i find it, ok so 1st thing is ta find the high.low top up valves ,on td4 at rear of engine rh/side ,must only top up on low side, , ,ta find this start engine,ac on full,plus fan ,max, run fer a minute ,feel pipes with hand, cold pipe=low pressure ,put on gloves,take pressure gauge reading,low ,normal ,danger, if yer on low side [like i was ] shake the can,insert ya valve,press the button,at this point ya could poo yerself as it hisses and sprays all over the place[tee he]re check gauge until correct,job done, its worth a note here if ya do diy make sure the stuff has a lubricant in it ,as this is helps keep the system tickatty boo,lot on the market,the gauge on the one i bought was hit and miss,others have an in line gauge ,think this would be a better product,so save some dosh,just follow the simple rules. . .
