my a/c is just blowing warm air re gassed it with one of those halfrauds bottles but made no difference I've checked the compressor and it seems to be clicking when I turn the air con on and the gauge on the refill bottle says it's full but I'm not sure if the clutch is engaging or not

Been checking few posts and think I may have to have the system vacuumed before I refill again then try again

You should be able to see if the clutch is engaging.
If the centre part is turning it's engaged and you should feel a noticeable temp difference on the two pipes coming off the compressor

I can see the middle spinning when you say the pipes from the compressor feel them getting colder

One of the pipes from the compressor should get hot, the other very cold if it's working.
I assume the light on the aircon switch is not lit?
If you do not know what was in the system in the way of gas, adding gas to what may just be air is not going to work very well.

I understand you filled it with a can, but if you don't know if it has air in there to start with it may not work well.

Why do you want to replace those O rings? Not heard of them being a problem or maybe you are looking for trouble.
