:) Hello, I have just purchased my first Land Rover it is a Discovery GS 300 TDi Auto, 1998 S reg with 128,500 miles on the clock, history is a bit sketchy from 88,000 but the belt has just been changed. From what i can see it could be one of the last registered, i would like to find out where it was registered and by whom, has anybody got any idea how i can do this. Also i have bought it primarily to tow our caravan and save my wifes BMW turning into a skip with 2 kids and a Springer Spaniel jumping about it it, is there anything i need to know or do before embarking on towing my van anywhere. Thanking you in advance

welcome :) not a caravanner myself but if towing dont go above 55mph or you might have very nasty bunny hopping/fishtailing as happened to my friend...he lived to tell the tale but lost 1kg in sweat...i'd think your tyre pressure is your starter too low and you could have side walls caving in so take time to get them filled to the correct pressure for the load your pulling....have a really good look over the tow bar for any signs of wear or stress / movement as you never know the previous owners may have been towing high tonnage 24/7.....good luck with your disco
