I am a newby here, got my first Freelander after selling my off road frontera that I creamed the rear axle on.
The Freeby has problems as usual, diff mounts, slight oil leak on main box, prop bearings, have already welded new plates in the rear subframe mounts as I know they are bad round that area.
Put a new header pipe on the zaust as the flex pipe was going but am still pretty impressed with her. It goes better than the fronty did and its a smaller engine.
Until I get the time to sort the prop and rear diff mounts I am going to drop her into 2wd and do things at my leisure.
They dont do bad on the MPG, well, compared to the frontera at 20mpg on a run.
Have binned the standard radio cassette too, it was tacky so I put an all singing and dancing dvd player in.
Will up some pics when I get a chance.
