This thread’s been running for about 6 months and is over 10 pages long.

I can’t see what the problem is and it’s such a shame as I’ve seen other L405 owners come and go and it’s really not that welcoming :(

I’ve got out of the habit of asking now and am starting to come here a lot less because of it. It’s a real pity as it’s still the best site I’ve been on for years. Still, if the membership book effectively closed for anything post 2012 (except for that lovely Evoque, of course ), then I’ve just got to accept it and move on.

Bye and thanks for everything guys and girls. It was a great 8 years and I’ll miss it :(

I understand your frustration. Especially as the ejoke got a section and those are almost laughed off the pages. Surely it is a natural progression to add the latest Full Fat before the buck toothed cousin. Have you tried messaging them directly?
Even if they don't catch up to the 21st Century, don't leave us. Go elsewhere for the tech , but come home for the banter ;)

Therein lies the rub our 'enry. They have been asked nicely, in the suggestions forum. The response was a resounding , nothing. Nice way to treat a guy who has been a contributing member for over 8yrs.

To be fair, I think they have limited time, the forum is a free at point of delivery service, and probably not that great an earner either.

Whilst I try to see that point of view. Having my own website, I know how easy and quick it is to create a forum. My website doesn't do adverts and I don't make any money off it at all,but I still manage to run it, answer members in less than 6 months and if something stands out as missing a trick, fix it.
The Admin had time to make an evoque forum, they could have pressed the button again and made an L405.
It just seems a massive oversight.

P.s just to labour the point, I also managed to run my website when I was deployed.

I have no experience at all of that kind of thing, and am not about to argue the toss with you if you say you do.

However, LZ is quite a large and diverse forum, so common sense suggests to me it may be a complex and difficult operation, and expensive to run.

The basics are the same, be it a little website for collectors of rare tartan wool, or one ten times the forums of this. To create a forum , you click a button, add a title and bob's your auntie's uncle.
All of that aside. I think the bone of contention is the choosing to make an ejoke forum but despite the obvious need , the fact this thread was started 6 months ago, and having been asked,in the feedback and suggestions, there is still no response from Admin about the L405
The very least they could do is answer his request. Otherwise, why bother with the feedback and suggestions forum.

Maybe they lost the admin password and cannot change it?

Does rare tartan wool come from rare breed tartan sheep, then?

Just called by to look and thanks for the replies everyone :D

I still can’t understand why the powers that be have ignored each and every contact; they could at least have the good manners and common courtesy to tell be to “**** off and stop wasting their time”! ;) :D

Anyway, I’ve met too many good people on here to really want to stay away and as long as they don’t open another category for “new” Evoque before they catch up with 2013 and give us a proper L405 category, then I’ll just have to live with the nail technician’s favourite Range Rover being considered to be the direct descendant of Spen King’s original!! ;)

+1 poll.
Subsection or prefix?

It gets diverse now which was not its design with just one or two types of RR. It’s not our way to make people feel left out but is there really a place for the multiple newer versions at current. They will go elsewhere where there is a dedicated forum to their model and we will be left to antiquity
