Hi All

Somehow the key code lock out has come on after the battery was reconnected again. Ive entered the EKA quite a few times and still the alarm goes off and engine disabled???

The unusual thing compared to when it has come on before is it gives a double beep presumably from the alarm every time the key is turned to entered the code.

I've tried re-syncing the key fob which has battery but not working the only way to unlock the car is manually?

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks

J

Dont forget 4 left turns
And yes wait for the on dash message to turn off
I found that if you disconect the battery with the doors locked/alarm on it will trigger the eka lockout the alarm thinks its been tamperd with

Ok we just got flat battery ( only 2 weeks old !!) hubbyhas charged and put back on and key code lock out has come up. Tries code which we have and no joy. He has done 4 left turns first and the alarm beeps each turn but when done alarm just goes off when open door ?? Going to leave it overnight now and try again tomorrow but any advice

We have only had car a month, new battery - got abs pump to fir tomorrow and dead battery again -- think will get it all running and polish it and then say goodbye as can't have an unreliable car :-(

Ok thanks will look for battery drains - thinking possible relay for such like for suspension as it takes its time to get to ride height sometimes

YAY key code thingy worked this time & she is runnung at present :) Now to search and get info on possible battery drains as suggested :) Then into tomorrow for replacing abs pump and brake fluid :-( hope its not too cold for him ;-/ !!!!

RF receiver is the usual battery drain cause. If it take a long time to rise, either the compressor is knackered or the airbags are time expired and leaking, probably both:)

Thanks Datatek will investigate (or get him too !) Where is RF reciever & is it a replace or diconnect job ?
