I replaced the fusebox on my '99 4.6 (no LPG) last night and appear to have fixed all but one of the issues I had.
The remaining issue is a hot start problem. I previously thought it was the fuel pump relay as there were signs of burning on the old fuse box but that has now been ruled out.

Engine spins well but just won't fire. Sounds like fuel starvaion but runs fine when it does start so doubt if it is a fuel pump issue. Leave it 1 hour and she will start with no problems.
Tried a search on the forum but there are only results if you have a diesel or LPG.

Any ideas?

Nope ECU engine temp sensor. Tells ECU how hot engine is to set startup fueling. Top of engine where pipes come out just behind Aircon pump.

I think my clutch is slipping a bit  I am trying to find the ECU engine temp sensor on RAVE but can't see it. I can see the Engine Fuel Temp Sensor (EFT) and the Engine Coolant Temp Sensor (ECT) is it one of these?

ECT. Read the description before the illustrations then you'll know what to look for..

Just to close out the thread. New ECT sensor fitted this morning and she starts first time every time. Might be my imagination but she feels more responsive and even the gear changes feel smoother.

There you go mate. :):):)
Hi,
I think I have the same issue with mine, but have searched Rimmer Bros and ebay etc and can't seem to find an "ECU temperature sensor".... can someone give me an idea exactly what this sensor would be called or a link please?
Many Thanks
