As above.I know the EDC system is buggered because some of the loom was melted due to proximity of exhaust manifold and when I replaced it and the sensor, the old problem of the injector pump not advancing was still there, hence poor or non start.I tried all the tricks I was kindly advised of before but no joy.I have a replacement EDC box but I dont want to fit it until I can get an EDC loom to put in.
Other than that the battery runs flat in 3 days.I thought that repacing the damaged parts of the EDC loom would cure that but not so,looks like ther is a big leak to earth somewhere that I cant find.
Soooo.......is ther anyone in the Bodmin area that can hook me up to a nanocom or any other diagnostic without me having to sell organs to fund it?Or an auto electrician that is affordable.I know all the local LR garages but was hoping that someone here could help for a reasonable renumeration,in cash or kind......?????
The other thing,on the starting front,is this - I have been told by older LR blokes that there was a problem with IIa starter motors not running quite fast or hard enough and thus causing you to turn the engine over at a seemingly good rate but not just fast enough to start.Ive not encountered this on any of my other LRs and Discos,but.......
all (sane and/or non abusive) suggestions or advice will be gratefully received
