Freelander 1 98 1.8k series. 3 Dr. Door locks

Hi All. After changing a passenger door lock actuator motor. This door now locks when unlocking and opens when locking with the remote. Not sure I got all the levers in the right place. Or is the motor running backwards. Needs syncing? Got motor from Ali express for £6 against £120 for new lock. Any one else had issues or got suggestions.

The passenger door wasn't unlocking at all before.

Sounds like you need to swap the wires!

Just heard from supplier, if I take the brush head off and turn 180 it will go opposite ways.

You need to swap the wires. Swapping the whole brush assembly will do nothing, as the motor will be spinning the same direction.

I was sceptical myself. But after reading other threads that said they had success, I tried it.
I can confirm that it does work. Locks are now operational for £6.
