Hmm.
I've been told by the local dealer that my car needs a new left O2
sensor, price around $450AU, and that I should also replace the right
side one at the same time- but it's around $1100. Symptoms are a rough
idle & backfire that have since mutated into heavy fuel consumption (330
k's/90 litres, down from usual 400 round town).
The part is the AMR6244- aftermarket 4-wire versions available for
around $120 US online. The sites that sell them don't mention different
prices for left & right ones though- any ideas why not?
I don't have a part no. for the right side one.
What should I do? Are they easy to fit? I've read that the connectors
are a bit of a pig.
Thanks for your thoughts ladies & gents.
