I'm new to the forum...just signed up today to maybe get some answers to a question/problem that I'm having.
I have a 1996 Disco 1 that is having an issue.
Heading down the road the speedometer will fall to zero and then the engine will loose power. On the way to work this morning, just to describe in detail...the speedo stopped working and then the Disco would cut-out (loose power) for about 2 or 3 seconds and come alive again. The engine did this about 4 times. The speedo was dead the whole time and did not respond to engine cut-outs. Finally, the speedometer came back on and the engine did not cut out again.
I have to believe they are related, but hey...I'm a Rover owner...anything goes.
I am glad to have found LandyZone and I look forward to logging on in the future.
Any help or hair-brained suggestions with my "new" problem would be greatly appreciated and looked into.
