Had a wee search and been suggested 0w-40, 5w-40 and 10w-40
Does it matter which? The car has 139k on the clock.
Cheers
Wammers does not approve, but I use 5W40 full Synthetic and change every 5 to 6K miles. Usually costs me about 30. Chains and modulation still good at 116K miles.
5W40 also meets the spec in full Syn and it's more economical on fuel. -17C at times in winter.
The spec is in the owners manual, but you can get 10W60what would anyone suggest for hotter climates like morocco also for the gearbox and diffs

I use 10w40 full syn and change it around 14500 miles and every third times adding with SLICK 50 additive
+100, I reckon 6K is the limit with any type of oil, 3K used to be the norm.I would recommend a change at half that mileage with any oil in a diesel. It's not the oil wearing out that knackers a diesel engine but the ****e it gathers over time.
it over the 360000 so i idon,t mind , begin 6 and half tear ago , i always change around this kilometer , she use around one half liter of engine olie for this mileages
