Hi all
I wonder if I might rack someone's brains. I have a 1989 90 and i need to find someone who could sort the electrics for me. Looks like spaghetti junction behind the dash. Id be happy to have the loom replaced but have not a clue how to do it. Does anyone know of anyone in the Herts or Beds area who does this type of work?
Many thanks

Or if I google am I looking for an automotive electrician?

How bad does it really look? Pics:)

Cos they soon look like that but its not that difficult to work through really:)

@mystery will be along soon to help.

What are you actually having problems with, it could be really simple;):D.

I think they come out of the factory like that. I'm not joking, mine is a 1989 too. It's not tidy behind there, but fortunately it is logical and simple though.

Thanks for the replies guys! There are old wires that don't go anywhere and just hang and it all looks a right mess. It looks like the person who had it before me did a bit of a bad job when putting in some extras. Some things electrical don't work like the extra fog lights and the heater cuts out. Trouble is electrics are like the dark arts to me lol
I can post some pics later if it helps?

Its not that dark once you get your head around it, do you have a DMM?
If you can Identify the extras then start by getting rid:) So you can start again.

If you really want to splash out these guys are supposed to be the the 1s to go to Wiring Looms and Vehicle Wiring Products | Autosparks

But cost and waiting list you may not like;).

Dont look like much bodgey in there, perhaps a couple of aftermarket (red wires)

What the1 with the fins on the right?

Sure I have Seen it mentioned before on here, but my greys cells are not remembering right now:)

Dim dip relays (things that make your lights go dim on side lights) I thought are normally red/pink

That’s what I meant about wires going nowhere lol

If it’s only an issue with a fog light then I wouldn’t worry about the box:).

If it is “dim dip” you don’t have to have it so no issue:). I know I don’t like poking around in my wiring either:eek:.
