has anyone had the problem i'm having at the minute my 90 developed a vibration , i was told to check my prop shafts ujs and found that one on the front prop had gone so i changed all four while i was at it this seemed to cure the problem, but i used it for the first time today on the motorway and after about 15 miles the vibration returned it seems to be at its worst at 50 mph when accelerating but if i depress the clutch or free wheel there is no vibration pls someone help!!!

take the front prop off and check the nut on the transfer box/prop flange had a similar thing back a while ago , also might be leaking ep90 from said flange

I can second that... BIG TIME! I tried a wide yoke which didn't work out, then a double carden prop at the front - QT Services do these and they are very helpful. Things are better but not perfect. My 90 is 1988 model (19j TD engine) - not a tdi, but I put a disco 300tdi engine in it. I am led to think that these older models are more prone to this vibration issue for some reason. You either get away with the 2 inch lift with no probs or you get unlucky and get vibration. If I can suggest one thing just to save you money and heartache, and that is go to the double carden option first rather than spend your way towards it. It could save you an output flange or even a transfer box or two.
Let me know how you get on.
