90 turbo or engine for sale 19j

Hi i have a 19j engine but someone has taken off turbo at some point. had it a year now and really want to put a turbo back on as she's sluggish especially with a trailer! has anyone got either a complete 19j engine or turbo for sale thats in good nick.

i have thats why i thought i would put a post on here. most are a long way to travel or go for silly money. Thanks anyway will keep looking

ive got a turbo but don't know its condition, it was bought (not new) for my old engine but decided to put a disco 200tdi in instead if you want to make an offer

Hi, i would be interested but i will need exhaust manifold etc as well. Where abouts are you from? As my 90 is an f plate i am not sure if later ones had different turbos. From research on here it looks as if in 1988 (year of my ones manufacture) they changed the head design and something about the turbo. If anyone could enlighten me i would be grateful. What year is your land?

hi, I live in the notts area (retford), It was bought for my 1990 defender just before I bought it, but never used it because I had the 200tdi fitted ive some other bits too I think the manifold is with it ill check in the morning if that helps

Thanks im wondering if I should do it or not as I think I have the earlier block which wasn't strengthened after land rover had all the problems. Mines an f plate from 1988 from what I gather they changed the blocks late on that year to solve the problems. I have attached a pic of engine number of anyone can clarify whether this is a good or bad td I would appreciate it. Sorry of thinking of it ain't broke don't fix it. Maybe go down the 200tdi route but it will cost a lot.
