HI All
I have a defender 90 hard top, 1999 TD5. Last week whie driving down the motorway i noticed the rear fog lamp indicator kept coming on whenever i braked ! thought it must be a fault earth somewhere and didn't give it much thought. Then when i got home i switched off the wagon and the stop lights and fog lights stayed on !! i pulled out fuses on by one and found the trailer fuse under the drivers seat was the problem. Over the weekend i traced the fault to a pink wire burnt out and had burnt off the insultaion off a few other wires causing the problem. I fixed the wires using crimp connectors and all s fine again, I looked through the Haynes manual to see what circuit the pink wire feeds as it must have earthed soemwhere to cause the probelm but can not find in the book - Anyone know what feed the pink wire is in the loom by the trailer connector ?
