88" Air Portable / Lightweight

Hi all,

I need a new exhaust for my 2.25 Petrol RHD lightweight, and just wanted to check that they are exactly the same as for a standard 88".

I am just about to buy a full system from Paddocks for around £35, but I thought I'd double check its going to fit.

Unless some comes up with the right answer,I,d go to an exaust specialist who will match it up with book with part drawings

Why don't you ask paddocks. FFS don't go to some "specialist" they'll rob yer blind.

I remember putting a stock 88" pipe on this old girl, but i cant remember if i had to mod it in anyway?

Thanks all for your help. I did call Paddocks and a woman said she wasnt sure and then said it should be ok. She wasnt convincing, so I thought I would double check.

Ring them again tomorrow, if you get the same answer, tell them you will hold them to it......if it fit's, job's a good un, if it doesn't, you will send it back for a full refund

Ive just checked with Paddocks and they were pretty sure that they are the same, so Ive gone ahead and ordered one. Fingers crossed!

Mine was standard series III. No modification required. ('74 air portable with a 5 bearing engine).
