The sun does indeed kill rubber over time, but so does atmosphere, it becomes less elastic and any ozone will break down the chemical bonds. Heat also negatively affects rubber
I don't mean to say they are no good, just they may not be like new, depending on many factors

I have been dealing in and inspecting ex MOD tyres for many years until I retired. I have a city and guild qualification from Michelin, and would never sell defective tyres
